The fitness assessment is a tool used by our fitness professionals to evaluate your current physical well-being. It furnishes a baseline of your present fitness level and allows you and your healthcare practitioners a means to easily track your progression. Fitness assessments are as varied as fitness programs. We pride ourselves in the methods we employ, the resources utilized, and the means in which we present the results.
How would you rate your health today compared to a year ago? 10 years ago? Is your fitness routine working? Did your body fat percentage go down after losing those 10 pounds? Or up? Are you stronger than you used to be? Do you really know? And, do you really know what all those numbers mean? An assessment will help you answer those questions.
Included in the assessment are 10 check points: weight, BMI, body fat percentage, waist-to-hip ratio, true resting heart rate, current heart rate in a fitness setting, max heart rate, heart rate at completion, recovery heart rate, and blood pressure. Your body measurements are also taken. In addition, flexibility, balance, endurance and strength are evaluated. Your ability is compared to others in your age group.
The Fitness Assessment you will receive is a nine-page written report showing your test results with an explanation of terms and definitions, along with the checkpoint and measurement findings in an easy to read one-page form. Both will be given to you in a binder for your future reference.
